How To Take Denopsy 14 mg Tablet - Route/Method of Administration
➡ The usual dose is 1 tablet taken once daily with a glass of water. It can be taken at any time of the day. However, if you always take your medicine at the same time each day it will help you remember it.
➡ Denopsy 14 mg can be taken with or without food.
➡ If you forget to take a tablet, simply take your next dose the next day, as normal. To make up for a missing dosage, do not take a double dose. If you find yourself missing doses regularly, you should speak to your healthcare provider about finding the best solution.
➡ The medicine is taken every day on a regular basis until you and your doctor decide that it is time to stop.
Contraindications
It's critical to inform your MS team if you have any health issues or are using any other medications. Denopsy 14 mg (generic Teriflunomide) may not be appropriate if you have existing medical conditions including severe liver problems, serious problems affecting the immune system (eg AIDS), and significant problems affecting the bone marrow or reduced blood cell counts (eg anemia, leucopenia, neutropenia or thrombocytopenia).
Conception and Pregnancy
You must not become pregnant while taking this multiple sclerosis medicine. Denopsy 14 mg tablet can stay in your blood for a long time, possibly up to 2 years after you stop treatment.
Women of childbearing age should use an effective method of contraception during treatment and for two years after stopping teriflunomide. Teriflunomide was discovered at low levels in the woman in four out of ten couples where the guy was taking this medicine, according to a small recent research. This suggests that denopsy teriflunomide can be transferred in semen. Men taking this medicine should use barrier methods of contraception during treatment and for two years after stopping.
If you become pregnant while using Denopsy 14 mg, stop taking it immediately and notify your doctor. Also, tell your doctor if you want to become pregnant within 2 years. In this case, they can start you on therapy to quickly remove the medicine from your system.
Breastfeeding
There are no studies looking at the use of Denopsy 14 mg tablets in breastfeeding. Because there is a lack of information, and the medication has the ability to suppress the immune system, it is not recommended while breastfeeding.
Alcohol Consumption
One of the most serious risks associated with Denopsy 14 mg Teriflunomide is related to liver damage and drinking alcohol may increase this risk. It is generally suggested that you restrict your alcohol intake or refrain from drinking completely.
Your doctor will perform liver enzyme tests before you start treatment and periodically throughout the first six months of treatment. You should speak to your doctor about your personal risk of liver problems and whether it is safe to drink alcohol. If you do drink alcohol while taking this MS medicine and have signs of liver problems, you should contact your doctor immediately. These signs include:
→ Nausea
→ Vomiting
→ Tiredness
→ Yellowing of your skin or white of your eyes
→ Loss of appetite
→ Dark urine
→ Stomach pain
Assessment Before Treatment
Before starting this generic multiple sclerosis medication, you should have blood tests to measure blood cell counts and check your liver function. Your blood pressure will also be checked. As Denopsy 14mg must not be taken during pregnancy, women of child-bearing age may be offered a pregnancy test.
Assessment During Treatment
Once you've begun therapy, you'll have blood tests every 2 weeks for the first 6 months and every 8 weeks after that to evaluate your liver function. During therapy, blood pressure and blood cell counts will be checked on a regular basis.
